Detailed figure of the crucified with head bent to the left and draped waistcloth. Cartapesta, colored, glass eyes. H. 26 cm, total 58 cm. - Arms and lower leg lost, traces of age. - Modern base by gold- and silversmith Markus Engert, Würzburg. - Already Donatello (so-called Madonna of Verona) and other Italian sculptors used this material. - Provenance: from Franconian private collection.
