attributed to Pierre-Philippe Thomire (1751-1843). Original fire-gilded bronzes in extraordinarily fine workmanship and with high-quality applications of symbols of the liberal arts and sciences with a lyre, a palette with brushes and a globe on the pedestals. On the ur-shaped vases further applications with musical instruments as well as circulating bands of flowers, acanthus and palm leaves. The partial polishing of the raised parts and the otherwise matt fire gilding give the vases a noble character. Under the lids with pine cone pommel there is a socket for candles.
