Signed with marking stamp of Jean-Baptiste Fromageau (born around 1720, Master since 1755). Rosewood and kingswood veneered on oak with the original fire gilded, finely chased bronze fittings. Decorated with dogs upon the drawer handles. Originally preserved leather top with finely engraved border. Fromageau is regarded as one of the most outstanding and versatile cabinet-makers in Paris in the 18th century.

Height 78 cm, width 160 cm, depth 80 cm.
