Paris, around 1820
The Parisian work is of very fine chiselled bronze quality and is fire-gilded to a very high
standard on all sides, with polished and upolished sections in places.
On a rectangular base and pedestal with appliqués stands a lyre-shaped clock case with richly chiselled decoration as a crowning festoon carried by two mythical creatures and with the bust of Apollo.
Openwork dial with Arabic numerals in enamel cartouches, half-hour striking mechanism on a bell.
