Paris, around 1775

A  neoclassical Parisian pendulum in the shape of an obelisk on a rectangular base, bleu turquin marble richly mounted with very high quality fire—gilt bronze fittings.

The white enamel dial bears the signature of the famous Parisian clockmaker's workshop "Le Roi ‘a Paris", which worked for the French court and the high nobility, among others. The obelisk is crowned by a gilded sphere.

Eight-day lock disc strike mechanism.
