Description

Lyon, around 1775

This elaborately carved chair is a good example of low seating furniture for children or Iapdogs of the kind that has rarely survived.

It is attributed to the famous Nogaret workshop in Lyon, which was highly regarded for its high quality in the 18th century.

Fortunately, the old Silk covering has survived.

Height 88 cm, width 58 cm, depth 48 cm.
