Genoa, around 1740

The four-Iegged, sturdy console tables are decorated with rich carvings and elaborately reinforced bases.

The bases are painted walnut on all sides to deceive the eye, and their raised carvings are gilt-leafed.

The original marble tops take up the curves of the moving frames in their profiles.

Height 78 cm, width 102 cm, depth 64.
