Würzburg, around 1750
Coniferous and fruitwood, walnut and burr walnut veneered and carved, with rich inlays in maple, cherry and ebony.
The richly curved commode base on all sides carries a tapering superstructure on a drawer compartment. The incised fields on the drawers are inlaid with Iavish rococo elements on the chest and the top, which are engraved and coloured.
The central door of the attachment is decorated on a parquetry with a large ornamental vase, which is decorated with engravings and red-green colouring.
The top of the chest of drawers and the puII-out shelf below are geometrically inlaid in a three-dimensional eye illusion. The rare furniture type of the chest of drawers has been preserved here in the most precious execution and is to be located in the circle of the Würzburg court.
