Mid 18th century
The pedestal zone with drawers on ball feet, the two-door, richly structured corpus with a rarely preserved, highly curved top. The cranked pilasters and half pilasters with carved acanthus leaf capitals set at the cabinet edges create a remarkable all-round view of this masterly piece of furniture. The profiled framed filling panels as well as the flat carved ribbon and leaf ornaments are of the highest quality. Walnut and walnut burl veneered and partly solid, gilded and silver plated fittings, original lock with blued, openwork lock plate. Stamped "GUET" on the stop bar.
